ADEDU project ran a series of 10 webinars to raise awareness on how digital education for adult learners can be made inclusive. Through these webinars we showcased the ADEDU course for teachers, adult educators and trainers and educators in the field of special education, psychology, and pedagogy and every other stakeholder that want to enhance their knowledge on inclusive digital education.

In May, the ADEDU (Accessible Digital EDUcation) project marked the end of two years of work with a final event that brought together educators, trainers and learning professionals to reflect, learn and celebrate.

As learning and teaching become increasingly digital, ensuring that no learner is left behind has never been more important.

Over the past two years, the ADEDU (Accessible Digital EDUcation) project has worked to make this a reality, developing training, resources, and guidelines to help educators create truly inclusive digital learning environments for people with learning disabilities.

Now, we are bringing it all together and we’d love for you to join us.

The afternoon will open with an interactive presentation of the ADEDU project, its journey, and the lessons learned. At the heart of the event is a one-hour workshop on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), delivered by an inclusion expert. The session will be highly interactive, giving participants the chance to reflect on how they apply UDL in their own practice and exchange ideas with the expert.

The event closes with the ADEDU Awards Ceremony, recognising those who have shown outstanding commitment to accessible digital education. Join us to find out who takes home the award!

Why words matter: inclusive language for educators

A first step to inclusion is how we talk about it. Words hold a lot of power to shape your message and influence how people connect to what you say. Inclusive communication recognises that people come from different backgrounds and experiences. It encourages us to communicate in a way that is respectful, accurate and free from stigma without assuming anyone’s past or current situation.
