The ADEDU - Accessible Digital EDUcation project aims at supporting educators, trainers and learning centres in upskilling and innovating their offers by including people affected by learning disabilities and facilitating digital transition and overall inclusion of excluded target audiences.

The ADEDU project focuses on supporting organisations in increasing the quality, inclusion and diversity of their trainings to foster impact at societal and educational levels including and facilitating the development of digital skills of participants with learning disabilities.

The project started on 01/01/2024 and will end on 30/06/2026.

The primary target groups:

  • Educators and trainers working within learning centres and/or independently across Europe willing to include learning disabled target audiences in their educational activities
  • The staff of learning centres, like managers, admin, tutors, communication officers, and stakeholders, policy makers and change makers from across Europe focused on education and digital education 

The secondary target group:

  • Europeans affected by learning disabilities to whom educators and learning centres will then be able to offer and include them in their training activities and future educational programmes

Objectives

Empowering Inclusive Education

To support and empower adult learning centres across Europe in promoting inclusion in education by upskilling educators on being able to provide trainings to target audience with learning disabilities

Digital Inclusion Training

To upskill adult educators working in the field of digital inclusion through a tailored training course focused on developing a wider understanding of learning disabilities disorders, how to detect them, their impact on learners’ behaviour and learning process and how to better communicate with them in an inclusive and accessible way (both online and with learning digital tools, and offline).

Enhancing Digital Skills

To strengthen the capacity of learning centre organisations across Europe in including people affected by learning disabilities and be able to further enhance the digital skills of this target audience.

Promoting Inclusive Education

To promote inclusive education and raise awareness of learning disabilities through capacity building activities

  • Handbook for trainers
  • Guidelines on inclusive communication to promote excellence and inclusion within communication efforts
  • Guidelines on inclusive platforms for digital education to promote quality and innovation within organisations in the digital education field
  • Capacity building activities like webinars with experts and organisations which already provide trainings on digital competences for audiences with learning disabilities to get inspired and increase their capacity building at structural level
